Ease into Comfort
Some of the items that make our own Hall of Fame, otherwise known as the Favorite Product Picks Page, get there because you asked for them. For example, when we released the Sculpting with Weights and Stability Ball audios, you asked for recommendations for equipment that would be particularly useful in doing the workouts.
Other items, however, come from our own experiences. They are there because we love them so much that we feel compelled to pass the information on to you. For a long time, I did not share one of my favorite things ever, because less expensive alternatives are available. However, when I realized I'd sooner do without while I saved up to buy one, I decided I really wanted to tell you about the NeckEase which is made by BodySense.
It comes in two sizes, and we link to the larger one, which is the one I have. It is horseshoe shaped and is filled with rice and a blend of aromatic herbs. One side is fleece, and the other side is a sturdier, rougher material, kind of like cordura. I can either wear it close around my neck to help with pain in my neck and the back of my skull, or I can wear it a bit wider. That way, the pain relief benefits are on my shoulders. It weighs about three pounds, so the weight gently pushes the shoulders down and into a more relaxed position. I once tried a long narrow pack I got from a local drugstore. Apparently, that horseshoe shape really does make a difference. Just draping the other pack around my neck caused the weight pulling at either end to cause more pain.
The neckEase can either be heated in the microwave, or stored in the freezer. I almost always prefer to use it hot -- not only for pain relief, but for a bit of extra warmth and soothing pressure on a chilly day. On the rare occasions I have had lower back pain, I can roll the NeckEase into a ball where it feels indescribably good tucked into my lower back.
Of course, BodySense sells all different types of packs. There are fun shapes for children with specific aromatherapy benefits, and unscented packs are also available.
You can purchase the NeckEase and check out our other recommendations on the Favorite Product Picks Page, or you can visit the BodySense website to see their entire product line.
