Fitness has always been a concern with regard to both mental and physical health regardless of age, gender, or any other variables that make each one of us unique. And for those in the blind community, fitness is every bit as much—if not more—important.

Exercise for the visually impaired is something that should be incorporated into a weekly, if not daily, routine for a variety of reasons that are both similar and different from people within the sighted community. For those with total loss of sight as well as for those who are low sighted, a lack of regular exercise can bring on a host of other issues, including weight gain, sluggishness, and perhaps worst of all for many, insomnia or a circadian rhythm that has been thrown completely off track.

A quality workout done at the right time of day and at the right pace to meet your unique physical and mental needs is just what the doctor may have forgotten to order. July Discounts and Brand New Program!

You asked for more yoga and we created a brand new flow for you. This one is strengthening and soothing. The movements are combined with breathing, which strengthens your entire body while sending oxygen to every cell. There are no standing poses, so once you are on the floor, you can stay there. The guided relaxation at the end will leave you feeling calm and alert. This one is ideal for use in the morning, evening, or anytime in between.

For the month of July, this new workout, Floor Yoga For Strength and Peace, will be at a reduced price as will all our programs. July is a big month for conventions, and we are participating by offering you special low prices. This is a great month to get those workouts you’ve been eyeing, but just haven’t yet purchased.

Low prices will be reflected in the Eyes-Free Fitness® app, as well as on the website. We are waiting for the last approval from Apple for the changes to take place but we will keep you updated once the sale and new workout is ready for iOS!

We are coming up on Podcast 100. I admit that I am proud of that. Never in a million years did I think that 100 podcasts were in my future. It is funny to listen to Podcast number one and compare it to Podcast 100. It has been so much fun!
